The Stable at Whitehern Historic House and Garden is a cottage style retreat in the very heart of the City. Built in the 1850's by Dr. Calvin McQuesten as a shelter for the family's horses, then converted to a garage by his grandson Thomas B. McQuesten in the 1930's for the family's first car, The Stable today exudes the tranquil charm of a quaint country cottage complete with dark-stained wood and original limestone walls. It can accommodate 35-40 people seated for a social or corporate function, and includes a kitchenette, and fully accessible public washroom. We provide tables, chairs, linens, cutlery, coffee urn, cups and saucers. This secluded location within the stone walls of the historic garden provides a rustic retreat from the City without leaving town.
Social or corporate functions in the stable can add a tour of the historic home at a group discount.
